Outokumpu hikes May stainless steel surcharges for third consecutive month

Outokumpu, the largest stainless steel manufacturer in Europe, announced to hike its stainless steel surcharges for May, which has been hiked for the third consecutive month, although the increase was not much.

After the adjustment, the surcharge for May for type 304 (4301) cold-rolled stainless steel sheet was EUR1,450/ton, up by EUR20/ton month on month; that for type 316 (4401) stainless steel plate was EUR2,218/ton, up by EUR21/ton from the previous month; that for type 430 cold-rolled stainless steel was EUR662/ton, up by EUR21/ton compared to last month.
