Chinese stainless steel output up in Jun y-o-y

According to the statistics, Chinese stainless steel output was around 2.34 million tons in June, down by 2.34% month on month, up by 23.73% year on year. Among them, 300 series output totaled around 1.13 million tons in June, down by 2.76% month on month.

The report from the Shanghai Metals Market (SMM) showed that the major reason was that a part of mills decreased the production of 300 series in March due to cost and order issues. 200 series output totaled around 880,000 tons, down by 2% month on month, due to steel mills' annual maintenance in South China. 400 series were outputted around 430,000 tons, down by 1.95% month on month.
